Rabbi Chaim Hollander
Rabbi Hollander is well received public speaker and educator. He is currently the Rabbi at Young Israel of San Diego, and has been teaching for 35 years. He has taught for 26 years in San Diego, and has taught students from ages 5 to 95. Rabbi Hollander earned a Bachelors of Art in History from Yeshiva University, attended the Chafetz Chaim Yeshiva and received his smicha from Rabbi Notta Greenblatt in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to graduating from Yeshiva University he also played semi-pro baseball for the McCauley Awnings team in Youngstown, Ohio. Rabbi Hollander’s Jewish History and weekly Torah classes draw Jews from every level of Judaism. Besides being an accomplished history teacher, Rabbi Hollander draws upon close personal and extended family experiences with the holocaust and the great Rabbis of the past 100 years. He enjoys relating history from the past 2500 years to current events.
